Cupertino, California is adding video podcasts to it on-demand webcasting service. This will allow citizens to listen/view public record of agendas, minutes and staff reports.
“It is our goal to continue to use technology, like that offered by Granicus, to improve city communication with residents,” said Cupertino City Manager David Knapp. “Increasingly, there is a need to deliver municipal information through a medium that is both effective and convenient.” The podcasts contain webcasts if city council, planning and parks and recreation meetings.
This is certainly a great idea and it is nice to see a city using technology that will help keep the citizens informed on what is happening in there city.
